Designing Without Fear...

I’m Bhavika Pabuwal, the creative director and founder of Behad. My journey began with self-doubt—I was never the best student, and stitching always held me back in fashion school. I would often simplify my ideas just so I could manage to sew them, which left me frustrated and uninspired.

But during my graduation project, Andekhi, I finally embraced my vision without fear. By collaborating with skilled artisans and tailors, I allowed my designs to take their true form. This experience changed everything for me—it showed me what I was capable of and reminded me why I wanted to create in the first place.

As a woman, I have witnessed the struggles, sacrifices, and silent victories that often go unseen. Behad is my way of celebrating these stories—of designing pieces that make women feel like warriors and queens. Every collection is inspired by women’s strength, resilience, and beauty, and my only aim is to create garments that honor them. That’s why I named my brand Behad, which meansbeyond ordinary—because there is nothing more extraordinary than a woman.
